This is a good suggestion, but as a side note, it is not always necessary to get high school credit through the school system. My homeschooled daughter simply took the ACT, some local college courses and the COMPASS exam and got into the University of her choice. We never took AP classes or tests, or needed an "accredited" transcript. Her knowledge showed itself the first year when she earned herself a scholarship! Hope this was helpful.
