You are so right about being playful, trustworthy, and in charge. Being in charge is a hard one for me to be consistent with because I had lenient parents and I thought that parents are supposed to be their children's friends. I have learned that being in charge is the right path and the children follow the parents' leading much better if the parent is not a friend until they are grown.
