Quiche: Easy and Gourmet

by Diane Hopkins on March 21, 2010

A hot, delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner: quiche!

In the mood for something light and delicious? Try this easy quiche!

Emily’s Easy Quiche

6 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup grated cheese, any type
1 tsp. salt
Few shakes of garlic powder
Optional: cooked veggies, such as green pepper, mushroom, onions, minced fresh parsley, spinach, broccoli
Optional: cooked meat such as, sausage, bacon, or ham chunks
ready-t0-bake pie crust

Whisk the eggs, milk and salt together. Stir in cheese, cooked veggies and meat. Pour into a pie crust (or straight into the pie dish without the crust, if you prefer). Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes until it is nicely browned and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Present at table directly out of the oven for the puffiest beauty!

Diane,

I just love how the Lord has transformed your life into being such a blessing for others! I am really encouraged when I read your articles, and am very thankful for your wisdom and experience. I just read your The Baby IS the Lesson article the other day, and already have been able to apply it during our school hours. I was teaching basic physics to our 2 teenage daughters, and our 11 month old daughter was fussy. I took care of her as graciously as I could right then, which was for a minute or two, and then went right on with the lesson. It turned out just fine, and the older girls were very understanding. I would previously have been frustrated and may have postponed the lesson until later! Thank you!

LOVE the You tube videos. I think I watched them all. Can you do oneon Happy Phonics, and the history books? It’s perfect for those of us who do not wish to invest in something without seeing it. Thank you so much Julia.
